Nike Victory Pro 4 Performance Review

Nike Victory Pro 4

Why was I so pumped to get my hands on the Nike Victory Pro 4? Scottie Scheffler.

If you play golf and say that you don’t idolize Scottie Scheffler… YOU’RE LYING. Ten wins since 2023 makes him the most dominant golfer since Tiger Woods. I should also mention that two of those wins are coveted major championships and an Olympic gold medal.

If that’s not enough for you, the guy got arrested at the PGA Championship in 2024 and won the same event the very next year in 2025. Legendary.

So if Scottie Scheffler wears the Nike Victory Pro 4, I want to wear them too (or at least test them).

I just finished reviewing the Reebok Nano Golf Shoes and was extremely impressed with how well they performed but they pale in comparison to the Nike Victory Pro 4.

Let’s head to the first tee!

Nike Victory Pro 4

Price: $155

Sizing: True-to-size

Fit

Nike gives us the ability to pick a normal or a wide fit with the Victory Pro 4 and the fit for me was stellar. I wore my normal size (US Men’s 11.5) and the fit was just right. There was a little bit more room than I’m used to but in a good way. The fit is nice and spacious (my toes had wiggle room) but maintains solid stability with no blistering.

Get the wide option if you have wide feet as Nike’s normal sizing is never wide in comparison to other brands. Order your typical size if you don’t have wide feet or love the normal Nike fit.

Traction

While Nike makes a lot of streetwear type golf shoes, the Victory Pro 4 is top tier when it comes to traction.

Nine barbed spikes on the bottom of the shoe lead to some of the best traction I’ve experienced with Nike Golf. It didn’t matter if the grass was wet or dry, if I was in the bunker, or swinging as hard as I could on the tee box. The traction was perfect and I didn’t have a single instance of slippage during my testing.
Outside of the spikes, the grooves on the bottom of the shoe contribute to better traction as well.

I talked about Scottie Scheffler a lot at the start of the article and I’m going to do it again. If Scottie can wear these on the PGA Tour, you can wear them wherever you play golf. The Nike Victory Pro 4 is an awesome option when it comes to gripping the golf course in various conditions.

Cushion

Nike took the easy and cheap road here but it felt surprisingly fine on my feet. The removable insole is typical Ortholite and the midsole is average run-of-the-mill Cushlon (Nike’s softer formulation of EVA).

Most golfers don’t dive super deep into cushioning technology, so to the average player, this cushion is probably regarded higher than by someone coming from Nike running shoes or basketball shoes.

My feet felt great with the Nike Victory Pro 4 on foot. This is arguably one of the most comfortable shoes that I’ve tested this year.

I mentioned this in the introduction, but I just recently finished testing the Reebok Nano Golf Shoes and they were VERY comfortable. When I stepped out of those and put the Nike Victory Pro 4 on my feet, I realized that the Victory Pro 4 takes the underfoot feel a notch higher.

In short, even though there’s no Zoom Air or high end Nike cushioning in the Victory Pro 4, you still get high end comfort. The Nike Victory Pro 4 is well-cushioned and a great option for golfers who prioritize comfort underfoot.

Support

The Fly Wing connects the upper and the midsole and is meant to optimize stability and support throughout your round. Based on the way my feet felt, the way I played, and my overall memory of all my testing rounds, the Fly Wing made a difference.

I felt locked and loaded and ready for the various lies and angles I encountered.

Outside of the Fly Wing, the not-too-soft Cushlon foam also effectively improved stability and created a flat platform from which to hit.

The entire shoe is a masterpiece and the small added support features contribute to the Nike Victory Pro 4’s high score.

Price

$155 for the Nike Victory Pro 4 delivers strong value for the money.

So many golf shoes these days are priced above $200. Finding a high-performing golf shoe well below that price-point means you’ve found a great buy.

I previously raved about the adidas Codechaos 25, but the Nike Victory Pro 4 now stands alongside it in terms of overall rating.
After a couple weeks of testing, I noticed minimal wear alongside optimal performance which leads me to believe the Victory Pro 4 will last most golfers multiple seasons delivering unexpected durability for the price.

The Nike Victory Pro 4 was so good that it’s one of the shoes that I don’t want to take off. It’s a shoe I go back to when I don’t have new models to test. The Victory Pro 4 is worth every single penny.

Nike Victory Pro 4 Summary

I could give you 75 words to describe how good the Nike Victory Pro 4 is, but I’ll just sum it up with the word “perfect.” The only thing that could make my experience with the Victory Pro 4 even better is an interview with Scottie Scheffler to pick his brain on what made him move away from his trusted “Nike Air Zoom Tiger Woods.” [Editor’s Note: Other than Nike discontinuing the model you mean?]

While Nike didn’t give us top of the line cushioning, I wasn’t dissatisfied.

If you play cart golf, you’ll be just fine. For my readers that walk the golf course, I feel 100% comfortable recommending the Nike Victory Pro 4.

Every time I look at the Victory Pro 4, I get this “kid on Christmas” type grin. They’re clean, they’re comfy, and the performance is up there with the best that I’ve ever tested. The golf footwear world has stepped up its game even more in 2025 and the Victory Pro 4 might be the best golf shoe release of 2025 so far.
